Noosa Festival Of Surfing Results

Sunday 15th march saw the start of the Noosa Festival of Surfing and also the event of the stand up paddle race.

Fortunately the oil spill hadn't made it's way past Peregian Beach so the contest was still a go ahead. A great afternoon was bestowed upon the contestants, with the 5km race starting in the river and ending at the surf club. Paddlers had to race 3km out of the river, through the Noosa bar and paddle roughly 2km along the Noosa Beach to in front of the Noosa surf club, where they then had to turn a bouy in front of the surf club to catch a wave to the beach. Once on solid land all that was left to do was run up the beach with board and paddle and cross the finish line.

Out of the top 6 placements, 5 were on our own Dale Chapman boards, with the first place going to Travis Grant on our new DC 12'6". Check out the placements and photos below for more info.
